Externship
Lone Star Park Equine Hospital offers externships, year round, to any individual interested in pursuing a career in veterinary medicine, with priority given to 4th year veterinary students. This externship program is designed to be completely tailored to the individual’s capabilities and interests. Students are highly encouraged to participate in our externship program if interested in our internship program. What clothing should I wear/bring?
Please wear a collared shirt and a nice clean pair of jeans, boots are recommended. Being in Texas the weather is unpredictable, so please dress accordingly.
What are the accommodations?
There is an apartment above the clinic for students to stay in. Linens and towels will be provided and there is a washer, dryer, refrigerator and toaster for your convenience. A car will not be provided, however someone will be able to take you to the grocery store, etc..
